Brief Description: A license that permits the holder to act as the pilot in command (PIC) of an LSA (light sport aircraft) during visual day conditions.
General Requirements:
- Be at least 17 years of age.
- Be able to read, speak, and understand the English language.
- Valid and current driver's license.
- Be able to affirm general good health and not using substance or medications that impede judgment, cognition, or motor skills.
- Pass a knowledge test as well as the Practical Test.
Flight Requirements:
- 20 hours of total time.
- 15 hours of instruction.
- 5 hours of solo which must include 2 hours of cross-country instruction, 10 takeoffs and landings, and one solo cross-country (75 nm total, 2 points of landing/25 nm between points of landing).
